Life is tricky baby, stay in your magic.

These words have never rung so true especially when you're planning a wedding.
Whether you choose to get married in Positano with breathtaking views or a super cool Vegas elopement, it's much too easy to get caught in the commotion of it all and forget that it is ultimately a celebration of love and commitment between two souls.

The team at Chérie By Oui have put our heads together and come up with the best tips for you to keep calm and be as wonderfully you as possible in the lead up to your special day.

We know that some of these may seem super obvious and you've most likely heard it a million and one times before, however sometimes we all need a little reminder to take care of ourselves and reclaim serenity.

1. BEAUTY SLEEP
A good night's sleep is incredibly important for your health, not to mention it can really help you look your best. While you're sleeping, your body releases growth hormones which repair daily damage from things like sun exposure and pollution, as well as creating new cells so you wake up looking brighter, fresher, and more vibrant. Getting 8 hours of sleep a night also improves your memory, mood, weight, and lowers stress levels which can be at an all-time high in the lead up to the big day.

2. HYDRATION
One of the biggest keys to a healthy body and mind is staying hydrated, which means drinking plenty of water. Staying hydrated helps your body flush out toxins more efficiently, and carries nutrients to your cells. Not only will this greatly improve your memory and concentration, but it will also do amazing things for your appearance, leaving your skin looking and feeling fresh.

3. VITAMIN D
Vitamin D is sometimes called the “sunshine vitamin” because it’s produced in your skin in response to sunlight. Research has shown that vitamin D might play an important role in regulating your mood, reducing depression, and also supports the health of your immune system. Think outdoor work meetings in a sunny spot. A change of scenery can also boost productivity and creative thinking.

4. EXERCISE
We know some of you lead a busy lifestyle (too busy to exercise) but at the risk of sounding cliché, it is so important to incorporate physical activity into your routine. Regular exercise gets the blood and oxygen pumping to your muscles, boosting your physical, mental, and emotional health. Your increased blood flow also boosts collagen production that leaves you with a youthful glow as a bonus.

5. SPEND LESS TIME WITH YOUR PHONE
Have you ever felt busy but ineffective? Ever missed a special moment because you were too busy flicking through Insta stories? If you’re a bit too dependent on your phone, it may be time for a break. Too much social media can put you on the fear-of-missing-out scale which often leads to comparing your life to someone else's highlights reel. Being on your phone late into the night also makes it harder for you to fall asleep and wake up the next day (see above re Beauty Sleep).
